On 19 November 2020 took place an online ECOPOND Kick-Off Meeting. All the members of the project partners teams met to discuss various issues related to our project. It was an opportunity for all the scientists participating in ECOPOND to get to know each other and to plan the course of research activities, as well as mutual cooperation within the framework of the project workpackages.
Apart from presentations concerning the members of all partners' teams and five project workpackages, we could get acquainted with the first conclusions from the pilot study carried out by the team of Karolina Bącela-Spychalska. Administrative issues resulting from the project implementation were also discussed.
In a free discussion we shared all our doubts and concerns and looked for answers to the questions that have come up since the beginning of the project. We also created a list of questions and issues that we need to reflect on and information to be gathered before our next project partners' meeting, scheduled for January 2021.
We also invited to the ECOPODN Kick-Off Meeting the representatives of the project stakeholders: The Society for Earth, Carp Valley Association and League of Nature Conservation. It gave them opportunity to get to know all the members of the project team and get better acquainted with the issues of the project. We hope this will help them to promote ECOPOND and disseminate the knowledge gained through the project.
