Grzegorz Tończyk is an adjunct at the Department of Invertebrate Zoology and Hydrobiology, University of Lodz. He is an entomologist, focusing on dragonflies (Odonata), mayflies (Ephemeroptera), stoneflies (Plecoptera) and aquatic and semiaquatic bugs (Heteroptera aquatica et semiaquatica). Main areas of his scientific activities are faunistics, zoogeography and ecology of aforementioned groups of insects.
